The Connection between Yoga and Neurogenesis.

The Connection between Yoga and Neurogenesis.

We all know that yoga is an incredible stress-relief practice, with incredible benefits for both mobility and mindfulness.

The research is now showing that it even holds promise in keeping your brain younger and healthier for longer by mitigating age-related neurodegenerative diseases, such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.

A recent systematic review has found that practicing yoga is linked to anatomical changes in the frontal cortex and hippocampus regions of the brain.

It is also associated with greater grey matter volume, density, and cortical thickness.

These changes are known to improve cognitive function, memory, processing skills, and higher IQs.

We have many yoga offerings at Rebalance Wellness… from private yoga therapy sessions, to regular weekend workshops.

Your brain will thank you!
