The Benefits of Qigong.

Qigong is a mind-body intervention featuring meditative, smooth and continuous body movements connecting the body, breath, and mind.

Clinical research demonstrates that Qigong can delay age-related brain atrophy, improve cerebral blood circulation, attentional focus, and executive function, and improve brain neuroplasticity by increasing circulating levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factors (BDNFs).

BDNF’s are a protein and a type of growth factor in the brain that is essential for the survival, growth, and maintenance of your neurons.

BDNF’s are critical for neural plasticity, learning, memory, and mood regulation.

Furthermore, low BDNF levels have been closely linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and are also heavily correlated to depression.
