Years Experience

Chinese Herbal Medicine Restores Your Natural Balance

For thousands of years, Chinese Herbal Medicine has treated and eased common health conditions. Chinese medicine focuses on the ‘rebalancing’ of the body ~ treating it as a whole and focusing on the underlying causes rather than just the symptoms of the disease.

The herbs dispensed at Rebalance Wellness are TGA approved and of premium quality. Our trusted and world-class suppliers use modern scientific processing methods and rigorous quality control standards. This allows our practitioners to bring the long-understood benefits of Chinese herbal medicine to our patient’s safely and reliably.

How Does Chinese Herbal Medicine Work?

Chinese medicine is tailored to the individual ~ we are all so unique, the reason behind your symptoms or health concerns can be so different to somebody else experiencing the same diagnosis.

When you receive a herbal formula from the practitioners at Rebalance Wellness, they will be based off a formula that is thousands of years old but then tailored to your individual needs. This often means that herbs may be added or removed from the formula based on your symptoms so that it is truly tailored to meet your own, unique state of health.

What Happens In A Chinese Herbal Medicine Session?

Your herbal formula will be dispensed on a highly individualised consultation, where our practitioners take the time to listen and understand your current state of health. From there we can tailor a formula to best support your health and wellness goals.

Chinese Medicine is often prescribed in conjunction with acupuncture treatment to enhance and maximize the therapeutic outcome, however stand alone Chinese Medicine consultations are always an option.

Zara Pranskunas

Practitioner of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Zara is the founder and lead practitioner of Rebalance Wellness. She has been in the health industry for over 15 years, beginning her journey as a massage therapist in 2008. Since this time, she has nurtured a fascination for wellness, the human body and all things natural health.

She studied full time at RMIT University for 5 years to complete her double degree of Chinese Medicine and Health Science. She graduated at the top of her class in 2015, completing the degree with an intensive internship at the Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine where she lived, worked and immersed herself in the traditional medicine in Nanjing China for four months.

After graduating she travelled throughout Nepal and Europe before settling in North Africa, Morocco. She based herself in the small seaside town of Essaouira, where she worked side by side with a General Practitioner for over two years.

Since returning to her practice on the Mornington Peninsula, she has continued to nurture her clinical skills with a strong dedication to research, specialised trainings, and extensive clinical hours.

Zara’s own experience with autoimmune disease has given her a depth to her treatments, allowing her to really empathise with those dealing with chronic conditions or barriers to the healing process. She emphasises the importance of self-care and how to empower those she treats to nurture their own health in a sustainable and enjoyable way.

She is grateful every time she steps into the treatment room, feeling most at ‘home’ when helping her patients. While she warmly welcomes everyone into the clinic, she has a passion for helping people with pain disorders/injuries, digestive issues, stress and emotional conditions, women’s health and fertility.
